Star Lock Washer 6797

DIN 6797 Metric Star Lock Washers are Toothed Lock Washers that are used to prevent threaded fasteners from loosening. As the fastener is tightened the teeth of the washer grip into the head of the fastener and the mating surface increasing the friction force which help the fastener resist rotational movement. Also, as the teeth are compressed a spring force is created that helps keep the fastener from loosening under vibration.
