Slotted Set Screws
Slotted Set Screws are threaded fasteners without a head that have a slot in the top of the screw so that they can be driven with a flat blade screw.
Metric Slotted Set Screws are used to bind two objects together by threading into one object and exerting pressure on the other object. Such as a shaft collar or gear onto a drive shaft. Slotted Set Screws are available with different tips on them which provide different locking capabilities.
Metric & Multistandard Components Corp. carries four different styles of Slotted Set Screws: DIN 551 – Flat Point Slotted Set Screws, DIN 553 – Cone Point Slotted Set Screws, DIN 417 – Dog Point Slotted Set Screws, and DIN 417 – Partially Threaded Slotted Set Screws.
