DIN 6798 Metric Serrated Lock Washers are Washers with a serrated surface that is used to prevent threaded fasteners from loosening. As the fastener is tightened the serrations of the washer grip into the head of the fastener and the mating surface increasing the friction force which help the fastener resist rotational movement. Serrated Lock Washers work very well on soft materials.
