Screw Thread Inserts are threaded fasteners that have both an internal and external thread. Metric screw thread insert kits are used to repair a damaged thread and in new productions to provide a wear resistant thread in soft materials.

Screw Thread Inserts for Metric or American UNC

Metric Screw Thread Inserts have a nylon locking patch on the external thread to help lock the insert in place once it is installed into a threaded hole. Screw Thread Inserts are installed into holes that have been tapped with a regular machine screw tap.
