O Ring Cord & Splicing Kit
Metric O-Ring Cord is gasket material with a round cross-section that can be cut to length and used to make an O-Ring by gluing the two ends together. O-Rings are designed to be seated in a groove to create a seal between two surfaces. O-Rings are suitable for either static or dynamic applications.
Metric & Multistandard Components Corp. offers a Metric O-Ring Cord & Splicing Kit with nine different size cross sections of Nitrile O-Ring Cord, a slicing jig, and the cement needed for gluing the ends together.
NITRILE: Temperature range = -65º F to 250º F. Nitrile is standard for most O-Ring service and offers excellent resistance to a wide variety of fluids including alkaline and salt solutions, petroleum lubricating and hydraulic oils, gasoline, silicone greases and oils, alcohol and water.
NOT RECOMMENDED for exposure to Di-ester, silicate ester or phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, automotive brake fluid, acetates, ketones and aromatic fluids.
