Nylon Insert Locknuts
Nylon Insert Locknuts are six sided internally threaded fasteners that have a nylon ring fixed at the top of the thread which is intended to keep the nut from loosening under normal operating conditions.

Nylon Insert Locknuts should not be installed with any power tools. The increased friction created with turning a Nylon Insert Locknut with a rotary tool such as an air ratchet or impact tool can damage the threaded components causing an undesirable situation where either the nut becomes seized onto the external thread or the nylon insert is damaged.
