Low Head Socket Cap Screws
Low Head Socket Head Cap Screws are threaded fasteners with a reduced height cylindrical head and a recessed hexagon drive. Metric Low Head Socket Head Cap Screws are turned by using a hexagon shaped key.
Low Socket Head Cap Screws are used in places that do not have the clearance to use a regular socket head cap screw however; because of the reduced engage of the hex key there is a higher chance of cam-out that may lead to damaging the hexagon recess.
Metric & Multistandard Components Corp. stocks DIN 6912 and DIN 7984 Low Socket Head Cap Screws. Please see the Metric & Multistandard catalog for technical data or contact a Metric customer service representative for assistance.
