Low Hexagon Jam Nuts

Low Hexagon Jam Nuts are six sided low profile internally threaded fasteners. Jam Nuts are threaded onto an external thread and tightened against another hexagon nut to lock the other nut in place. Metric Low Jam Nuts are used when it is not desirable to apply a clamping force on an object with a hexagon nut. Low Jam Nuts can also be used to lock another nut in place on an external thread without applying any torque to the externally threaded component. Jam Nuts can also be used in places where a standard height nut would not fit.
