Hexagon Jam Nuts

Hexagon Jam Nuts are six sided low profile internally threaded fasteners. Jam Nuts are threaded onto an external thread and tightened against another hexagon nut to lock the other nut in place. Metric Hexagon Jam Nuts are used when it is not desirable to apply a clamping force on an object with a hexagon nut. Hex Jam Nuts can also be used to lock another nut in place on an external thread without applying any torque to the externally threaded component. Metric Jam Nuts can also be used in places where a standard height nut would not fit.
