Metric Free Running Helical Thread Repair Inserts are diamond shape coiled wires that are used to repair damaged internal threads. Helical thread repair inserts can also be used in new production to reinforce an internal thread in high-stress applications.

Metric Helical Thread Repair Inserts require the use of the corresponding screw thread insert tap. Once installed a Free Running Helical Insert provides a smooth threaded hole that is similar in form and function to a regular tapped hole.
