Flat socket head screw caps are inserted into countersunk holes with matching tapers and are securely fastened with hexagon keys. They can be tightened to much higher torque specifications than other countersunk screw types, and their flush connection creates a smooth, polished finish. As countersunk screws, these fasteners are categorized with the DIN 7991 classification, meaning they require a hexagon key or an Allen wrench for fastening.
