External Snap Rings
Metric External Snap Rings are a type of retaining ring which is used on shafts that have a rounded groove cut in them. DIN 7993A External Snap Rings are semi-circular round spring wires that when property installed a part of the ring will remain exposed outside of the groove and act as a lip to hold an assembly in place. The opening of the ring allows the ring to expand so it can be pushed over the end of a round shaft and the ring will seat itself in place in the rounded groove. Metric & Multistandard Components Corp. can supply Din 7993A External Snap Rings in spring steel.
