End Mills, Reamers & Counterbores
Metric & Multistandard Components Corp. offers a wide array of metric End Mills, Reamers, and Counterbores.
Ends Mills are cutting tools that are used to create precision shapes with the use of a milling machine. Metric end mills come primarily in 2 different cutting styles; center cutting and end cutting allowing for a wide variety of machining applications. Metric ball end end mills are available in many radius sizes. End Mills can generally cut in all directions although; there are some End Mills that cannot be used to cut axially like a drill bit. Metric end mills come in metric shank, American shank, or in a collection of sizes. End Mills are made of HSS, solid carbide, or cobalt allowing the flexibility of machining a wide variety of materials. Choosing the correct End Mill for an application will depend on many variables including the type of material being machined and the required shape of the cut.
Reamers are used to create precision holes by removing a small amount of material from a previously formed hole. Metric reamers are available in both hand reamer and machine reamer versions with either straight or spiral flutes, designed to cut straight or tapered holes. Additionally metric machine reamers are available in either straight shank or morse taper shank to accommodate a wide variety of tool holding options. Metric reamers are available in HSS, solid carbide, carbide tipped, and cobalt and are sold individually or in sets.
Metric counterbores are made of HSS and come with either a fixed or selectable pilot which allows the operator the flexibility of choosing the proper pilot for the appropriate stage in the machining operation. Metric 90 degree Countersinks for flat head or countersunk screws are made of HSS and available in straight shank for the common head sizes of screws threads M3 –M10. Other Metric countersinks are made of HSS and are available in either 60 degree or 90 degree and are sized by head diameter.
