E-Ring Circlips – External
Metric E-Rings are unthreaded fasteners used to hold a round shaft in place in an assembly or to locate components in place on a shaft.
DIN 6799 External Retaining Rings have a tapered opening on one side of them which can be pushed into a groove on a round shaft. Part of the E-Ring remains exposed outside of the groove and acts as a stop to hold the assembly in place.
