All-Metal Locknuts

All Metal Locknuts are six sided internally threaded fasteners that have a locking component as part of the nut and do not require the use of a separate locking component to keep it from loosening under normal operations. The locking component can be accomplished either with a deformation of the thread or with a metallic insert.

All Metal Locknuts should not be installed with any power tools. The increased friction created with turning a Locknut with a rotary tool such as an air ratchet or impact tool can damage the threaded components causing an undesirable situation where either the nut becomes seized onto the external thread or locking element is damaged.
