Metric Key Stock is lengths of four sided metallic bars. Key Stock can have either a square or rectangular cross section. Key Stock is most often used to make machinery keys that are used to locate components onto a round shaft. When cut to length Key Stock fits into slots cut into a shaft and a component such as a pulley or sprocket creating an assembly that rotates as one unit.
